Our Projects

Antigua Apartments

Location: Antigua

Completed: December 2016

Area: 7500 Sq. ft.

This is a 3-level, 7-apartment building with a penthouse unit located in the attic structure. It was designed to be built on the side of a mountain to maximize the views, and it is situated to overlook the bay on this beautiful island. ABP fabricated the light-gauge steel wall panels, floor joists, metal decking, and roof trusses. Designed to a windspeed of 170 mph.

The structure was fabricated and assembled in Fort Lauderdale and then shipped to the site for installation. ABP also provided supervision for utilizing the local labor force, and the structure was installed over a period of 3 months. In 2017, this building withstood a direct hit from 2 category 5 hurricanes, Irma and Maria, with no structural damage.

The structure was installed over a period of 2 weeks. This structure survived a direct hit from Category 5 Hurricane Maria in 2017.

THE VILLAS IN DAMMAM

Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Completed: August 2013

Area: 4800 Sq. Ft.

This 3-level, 4,800 sq. ft. villa was fabricated and shipped in containers to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2014 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. ABP provided the structure and installation supervision and trained local labor as the structure was erected over a period of 2 weeks.

Due to the unique environment that Saudi Arabia has, ABP had to accommodate the vast Air Conditioning units on the roof and design the duct routes into the structure prior to fabrication. You can see from the pictures that this was achieved during the design process by providing the necessary openings in each room while maintaining the structural integrity of the light-gauge steel. ABP provided the light-gauge steel wall panels, floor trusses, and roof trusses to achieve the required architectural design which fitted seamlessly with the local architecture.

Area: 60,000 Sq. ft.

These university dormitories are in New Orleans, Louisiana. Our client needed these trusses to be engineered to a height of 16 feet and a length of 68 feet with a 35-foot span. This structure was fabricated “on-site,” utilizing our mobile fabrication units. The building was designed to 165 mph wind speeds.

The individual panels and trusses were assembled as they came off of the roll former, which eliminated the need for additional handling and transport. The roof structure was assembled on the ground and craned into position for final installation, which allowed for much faster and safer construction.
